Early in November, Ms. Benz announced the start of the CCX event, otherwise known as Christmas Card Exchange, for W@Wies and N@Wies. According to Ms. Benz it’s a yearly tradition that started 10 years back. Basically, those who would like to join would have to register their full name, complete address, and to indicate whether you are a W@Wie, a N@Wie, or a supplier. You are also required to tell a little something about yourself just to give your buddy a background and a brief introduction. Registration was opened for those interested to join. After the registration period was done, Ms. Benz will assign each of us a CCX buddy to whom we were supposed to send Christmas cards. Gifts weren’t mandatory but if you are generous enough, you are free to send one. I was informed of my assigned buddy a day after the registration was closed. It was Dory. We have been in constant communication for a while now and it was a relief for me when I found out that my assigned buddy is someone I already know and talk to.
On the other hand, I didn’t know to whom my name was given to. So all I could do was wait til I receive my Christmas card. On the last week of November, I was surprised when the mail boy came to my office and handed me a package. I wasn’t expecting mail so I was really wondering what it was and who it was from. When I read the sender’s details, I realized that probably it was from my CCX buddy. When I read the letter, it confirmed my guess. It was from Orange Andrade. Her name sounded vaguely familiar and when I searched on Facebook, I realized that she is one of Ms. Kredz client, soon to wed on January this coming year. It was so exciting. This is my first time to join the such an activity and to receive a gift plus letter from a cyber friend is something liberating.

I was also able to send my gift sometime during the 2nd week of December. I was almost got busted by Dory because of the one time we chatted on BBM talking about the CCX buddies we were given. Her’s was a N@Wie and I just told her that mine was a W@Wie so I can’t disclose the name. Hahaha! I changed the topic by telling her I’ve received my gift from my CCX buddy and that I felt really excited! When she finally received my gift, she posted the photo on her Facebook wall and tagged me on the caption. Hihi.. I wish I could do more but due to time and budget constraints, it was the best I can manage.
I wish to join this activity again next year. But hopefully, I’d be a N@Wie instead of a W@Wie.
To all W@Wies..
HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
